RE: Peace Prevails - Jelaya Al-Mazi - 04-17-2026 Jelaya was gratified by the responses from the two senior officer and chuckled at Kahli’s comments pausing to return the greeting from Lt Mala “And to you as well Lt Mala.” Kahli was sticking close and expressed her enthusiasm at seeing the Engineer, adding that it would be great to bring all the old crew back tother. “Yes, I did see them, I didn’t know that he was such a good dancer; “pausing to whisper semi-conspiratorially, “Well they certainly are acting like a couple; is that new?” She asked her fellow engineer. Jelaya then took a step back and really looked at Kalli, her eyes widening, "Holy...You...you're wearing a dress...a real dress...actually a pretty hot looking dress, in fact...have you hit your head recently? You never wear a dress!" Jelaya could easily note that her friend was proud of her new look, and she added “You look absolutely amazing!” Her greeting to the Co was returned “"Nice to have you back Lieutenant. I'm sure you will get up to speed fairly quickly."; to which the Engineer responded gratefully. “Thank you sir; it is good to be back with a crew.” Returning her attention to her fellow Engineer, she congratulated Kalli adding; IT will be great to see you as a Chief Kalli; you certainly have the experience and I look forward to being your second; or so I hear” ==Apologies for the wait. Tagging anyone and everyone== RE: Peace Prevails - Beno Velaul - 04-17-2026 If ever there was time for a drink it was this one. "Yes my friend I think it's that time, I am more thirsty than hungry." She was a little overwhelmed by events, in a good way. This was one of the happiest occasions that she was a part of, and Cologero she knew exactly what he was saying. They are one of the more romantic people of Earth, and this was a very nice compliment. She ordered another round of drinks for her group, this time getting a bourbon. It was more her go to drink when winding down, she always sipped them to avoid spiking alcohol levels. As she was sipping on the drink, Beno noticed the new people. Both were scheduled to be there soon, Beno was happy their first memory of the crew was a happy occasion. The Tactical and Engineering departments just got a lot stronger, they both have good leaders to show them the ropes. Its been a while since Beno felt this relaxed, and it was really showing to people all around her. Everything she wanted to do was done, one of those was a little early. "One day when I am going to have to stop these presentations, let someone else do it." She loved doing this as it was a way for her to give back to the crew, possibly when she was a Commanding Officer her First Officer would. Whoever this person might be, hopefully were not going to be one of those strait laced kind of people. "I think we should do a toast for the future." Moving forward nothing was going to be a couple of changes, one of them was letting her hair down more. One day Beno knew she was going to need to slow down, but she would wait until she was old. ==Tag== RE: Peace Prevails - Cologero Coppola - 04-19-2026 Cologero smiled at the young lady. "Thank you now that I am at this rank things are going to get more interesting, as I get higher things will get even more difficult." It was a challenge that Cologero was looking forward to it, if you were not challenging yourself to do better it always became dull. Cologero knew what she was talking about shortly after mentioning, yes he did appear like that. "Yes I see what you mean, he does appear like that. I am sure if things were really bad the person would not be alone, in a uniform with every medal they were ever awarded." Cologero stopped for a second. "Now look at this cool drink of water near the bar, the Italian in me feels the need to go over there to greet him. Please join me, we should welcome him." He had a smile as he adjusted his suit and tie. Cologero gave a wink and a smile. "Time to make a good first impression. Going to the Bar next to Ethan Cologero ordered a Barolo, it was one of his favorites when making new connections with people. "Hello I am Cologero Coppola, when I am one of the Tactical Officers here. More about that later, right now we re in the middle of a party. I am celebrating being promoted to Lieutenant Junior grade, wait I am doing this wrong. Three jagger bombs." He said to the Bar tender. "If you wish to take part in this please do, if you don't I respect that." Cologero waited to see if K'Vada was going to join them in both ways. ==Tags== RE: Peace Prevails - Ethan Diaz - 04-20-2026 A minute or two went by, with Ethan silently sipping his drink and mentally going over tomorrow's very busy schedule. It would be mostly training, of course, but even junior officers might be given additional duties if their superiors deemed it necessary. Then there was Occupational Specialty coursework--essentially like the kind you got at the Academy, meant to supplement on-the-job training and usually done during your off hours. "Can I get you another, sir?" The bartender asked, pointing to Ethan's empty glass. "Hm? Oh, yes," the midshipman responded absently. Just then, his thoughts turned to home. He'd forgotten to add Lambda Colonial Time to his personal PADD. Was it still daytime back on the farm, or was Sol Valley fast asleep? Either way, it didn't matter too much at the moment. Ethan had already sent a message to his parents before coming aboard, reminding them it would be at least 24 hours before he got a chance to reach out again. It was very strange, knowing just how much time and space there was between them. . . Suddenly, he was distracted by movement in his peripheral vision. A couple was settling into the empty seats on Ethan's right--a human male that looked to be about his own age, and a Klingon female. The man introduced himself as Lieutenant Junior Grade Coppola and seemed friendly enough; just as Ethan was extending his hand, the lieutenant turned and placed an order for drinks. Ethan leaned back on his barstool, watching the bartender expertly prepare a concoction he didn't recognize and pouring out three shot glasses. As a general rule, he only drank on special occasions, but tonight quite obviously fit the bill. Besides, he could very well end up on the same watch as this guy. Might as well start off on the right foot. "I don't mind, sir. I'm a Tac Section man myself," Ethan replied. He waited patiently for the bartender to finish, then accepted one of the glasses and raised it in a toast. "My congratulations. And to your very good health, sir." He gulped it down and immediately began to cough, the unexpected presence of alcohol flooding his nose and throat. Should've known better. You're at a bar, idiot. . . "First Jägerbomb?" Asked the bartender, brow raised and already preparing a glass of water. "Yeah," Ethan spluttered. Thankfully, it didn't take him too long to recover, but he accepted the water just in case. "I guess I should've announced myself as a novice first." He turned a bit sheepishly back to Lieutenant Coppola. "Sorry about that, sir. Midshipman Diaz, sir--Ethan Diaz. Pleased to meet you." He took a moment to nod to the Klingon female as well. "A pleasure to meet you as well, Miss." == Tag Lt. Coppola == RE: Peace Prevails - Kalli Thorn - 04-20-2026 Kalli answered her feline friend, "Yes, this appears to be a relatively new development. After the last mission, I spotted them in Ten Forward and she had gotten up from their conversation to leave, but as she left she gave him a kiss on the cheek. Then tonight, he escorted her in and they set quite the scene with that impressive dance. Maybe something happened on the mission, but I agree that they seem to be quite the cozy couple." After Jelaya complimented her on the dress, Kalli blushed. The mention of work made her nod, "Well, I'm the Acting Chief right no, but a girl can hope. They want to be sure you can handle the job before they make it an official thing. I just keep doing my best and take it a day at a time. I'll bring you u to speed when we report for duty, but tonight we should just enjoy ourselves." == Tag Jelaya == RE: Peace Prevails - Jez Mala - 04-20-2026 ==Lieutenant K'vada, Klingon/ Vulcan, Temp Science NRC == K’Vada felt so proud of Cologero, as if he was a member of her house, she had watched him when she had Bridge duty, he was confident, intelligent and insightful. In fact, he was the very embodiment of a Star Fleet Officer. She had to smile when he said, "Thank you now that I am at this rank things are going to get more interesting, as I get higher things will get even more difficult." K’Vada had to agree with that statement, it was true the higher in rank the more responsibility. “You will meet the challenges like the warrior you are.” Said K’Vada. Just then a young human entered, he appeared to be around Cologero’s age, a handsome specimen. "Now look at this cool drink of water near the bar, the Italian in me feels the need to go over there to greet him. Please join me, we should welcome him." He had a smile as he adjusted his suit and tie. Cologero gave a wink and a smile. "Time to make a good first impression.” Stated Cologero. K’Vada took a sip of her wornagh (warnog), a traditional Klingon ale, and followed along. "Hello I am Cologero Coppola, when I am one of the Tactical Officers here. More about that later, right now we're in the middle of a party. I am celebrating being promoted to Lieutenant Junior grade, wait I am doing this wrong. Three jagger bombs." He said to the bartender. "If you wish to take part in this please do, if you don't I respect that. "She watched with fascination as the two humans engaged in what she knew was male bonding. "A pleasure to meet you as well, Miss." K’Vada smiled at the new arrival and said, “ I’ am Lieutenant K’Vada, daughter of T'Lara of the House of Korrd., I 'am a Science Officer. K’Vada’s face twisted when the Bartender asked about Jägerbomb. “This is a time for celebration, not a High Society Tea,” announced K’vada. “Bartender three wornagh’s” Said K’Vada. As she waited for the bartender to get the drinks, she looked at the newcomer, "So Mister Diaz, tell us about yourself.” She stated, with curiosity in her voice. == Tag Coppola and Diaz.== RE: Peace Prevails - Alexander Talion - 04-21-2026 == WARNING: Big post. You might want to get a snack and a drink before sitting down to this one. == Alex had become quieter, but his warm smile was quite genuine. Most of the time, he looked like he was concentrating on something or thinking too hard about the next chess move. Right then, at that party, he looked relaxed and genuinely happy. Beno was a good judge of people, because after being around enough people for enough years to span a few lifetimes, you got to understand a great deal about them. She also knew enough psychology to read when most people were telling the truth or not. You developed an intuitive sense about those kind of things, . Beno made her toast, people echoed it and glasses were raised. Alex joined in and took a sip of his, savoring the moment along with her. His hand had been at her back and she could feel it through the thin fabric of her dress. He then moved his hand, in what should have been a very innocent gesture, up near her neck while he leaned close to whisper in her ear, "This is really nice." Alex then kissed her almost on her cheek, but it was back near her ear. It wasn't a deliberate place, but it turned out that it was about to be quite another kiss for their first date that she would remember for a very long time. Beno Velaul was not a telepath or an empath, but was also no stranger to unique experiences. Part of being joined involved some very special moments where the memories of the other hosts were integrated and so on. For the uninitiated, it could be a very powerful experience, but she had been through it a few times, making her pretty much a seasoned veteran, even among most joined Trill. The dance had made her weak at the knees. This gave her a new sensation. For a very brief moment, Beno thought she was having some sort of reaction to one of her drinks. She was a little off balance, but instinctively froze, so as not to risk falling. A wave of sensation rippled through her, like the room had gone cold enough to raise chill bumps on her arms, but glancing at her wrist, there were no bumps. There was a nervous feeling, not unlike the very first time she had been on a carnival ride as a child, a bit like butterflies in your belly for just a second and it even felt a little fun. That wave of neural energy actually brought with it a wave of warmth and the thought passed through her mind that it was odd that she had confused it with cold. It was a warmth like being wrapped up cozy in a blanket and held in loving arms. She could picture the face of a woman looking down at her (was that her mother) and there as so much love in the young woman's eyes, then the image was gone. Happiness followed, recalling the first time she had made a friend with some nameless child who she had shared something with and they shared a bite of their piece of fruit in return. She could taste it and it was delicious, but that feeling of liking someone and they liked you back, but weren't your family was like discovering something magical. These were formative core memories that her brain was bringing forward. Her first crush, her first real kiss, first things that were powerful in her life. She knew what was coming next, her joining. Part of her was trying to figure it out now, but it was hard through the flood of these thoughts and emotions. Just when she was starting to worry, she became aware that time had stopped. Well, not stopped exactly, but everything was silent. Alex was still kissing her, but not moving. It should have been scary, but it wasn't. Why wasn't it? She felt perfectly safe, secure and that she had an unimaginable amount of protection right now. Alex would give his life for her and there was no doubt about it, like it was a law of physics. She wasn't sure how, but there was a feeling that she was safer with him than if she were in the middle of an entire fleet of starships. There was a glimpse of a planet from orbit, but she didn't recognize it. The safest place in the known galaxy, but she had no idea what made it so safe. Cindy with longer hair, pulled back in a ponytail, but looking older and more human...then... She was beginning to hear someone speaking, or the sounds of talking, but everyone at once. Beno heard Alex say softly, "I've got you. Just breathe." Suddenly time was speeding back up. She managed to not drop her drink, but Alex pulled her just a tiny bit closer. She had in fact been holding her breath and took in a refreshing breath of air that felt really good. The onslaught of thoughts and emotions made her want to cry, though she couldn't tell if it was from fear or joy. Alex looked her in the eye up close, lovingly and concerned, but reassuring as well, "Sorry about that. Alcohol can play tricks on us all sometimes...even I slip a little once in a while." Beno thought he was being silly, because of course she was safe. She had...well...she knew...well, she...she had what? That was when Alex answered her for a question she had not yet asked, "You simply used a sense that you never experienced before. The scientist in you understands that, but it might take a moment to wrap your mind entirely around it. Don't think about it too hard, your brain wants to find patterns and it can be like looking at an optical illusion for the first time." Beno was now hyper-aware of everything around her. She had felt something similar right after being joined, but this was different. What she had felt before had been gradual and controlled, this had been raw and like getting so close to a live wire that her hair had been standing on end before she knew what was happening Alex said, "It's the small adrenaline spike. Maybe you should sit down and let your heart calm down." He had again answered her before she could voice what was on her mind. He was very calm, still with that warm and loving smile, his hands still touching her gently and keeping her safe like a blanket wrapped around her. Alex wrinkled his nose in a playful way and she could still feel his emotions pouring off of him like a roaring wave that was powerful enough to crush reefs to sand, yet only a delicate wave washed ashore to tickle her feet playfully in the sand. She was still seeing the images in her mind as he spoke, "A heck of a first date so far." He rolled his eyes and joked, "I don't get out much." In that moment, she briefly glimpsed him as a child of about 12, talking to someone, but she didn't know who. She only knew whoever it had been, he had loved them and trusted them...and in many ways, this was very like that, which was something so big to him that he never spoke of it. Then it was gone. Alex blushed a little and he slowly took his hands and carefully placed them on his thighs. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but for once he was speechless. The feeling was retreating, but it was now more clear before it was gone. Alex had not just relaxed, he had been so caught up in the moment that he had let his defenses down...way down...he had allowed a connection that wasn't supposed to be possible. It was impossible to tell if he had gone too far by choice or if it was an accident, but as it retreated, she could tell that he had dared to be that vulnerable with her. He wasn't sorry that he had been, but he saw that it had scared her and now he wasn't sure what to do. Beno now knew, much better than simple words could try to say, how Alex felt about her. It was pretty strong stuff for a "first date" and a dance at a party. Alex had tried to warn her that he didn't think he could ever just date someone before he knew them and now she understood why he had said those things. It is often said that dating a Betazoid could be complicated. Their culture and personal relationships could be hard to understand. People said lots of things, but none of it had really prepared Beno for what she had just experienced in that brief moment. On the other hand, it explained the kiss at the end of the dance a little better. Alex waited for her to respond and she was pretty sure this time it was Alex that was holding his breath. == Tag Beno == RE: Peace Prevails - Ethan Diaz - 04-21-2026 Ethan sipped a bit of water and finished clearing his throat before acknowledging the Klingon officer. "A pleasure, Lieutenant. Looking forward to working with you." Unlike the Jägerbomb, Ethan had definitely heard of wornagh (a classmate of his at the Academy had come off the worse from a drinking game that involved taking repeated shots of the stuff). By all accounts, it was a pretty stiff drink that you didn't pick up unless you meant it. He didn't know much about chemistry, but he figured anything that could get a Klingon wasted was bound to wreak havoc on a human's liver. He'd have to be careful with this one. While the bartender prepared three more glasses, Ethan caught his attention with a discreet gesture. "Can I get another Greenwater with that?" "Of course, sir." "So Mister Diaz, tell us about yourself," said Lieutenant K'Vada. Ethan shrugged. "Not much to tell. Uh--San Francisco, Class of '26. I'm from this little backwater colony in the upper Alpha Quadrant, and I guess I didn't feel like sticking around. My uncle told me I could probably get a commission if I wanted to, so I joined up." That was the short version. The easier version. No one needed to know he was an anchor, and the rest of it was no one's business but his--for now, anyway. Captain Brooks had probably reviewed his personnel file by now, and if he deemed it necessary to share certain facts with certain officers, then that was that. Still, the last thing he needed was for people to start viewing him as an incompetent before he even stepped on the bridge. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic, he thought to himself. After all, he'd technically earned his ring like everyone else, right? His thoughts were interrupted by the bartender presenting another round of shots. "Here you are--three wornaghs." == Tag Lt. K'Vada == RE: Peace Prevails - Cologero Coppola - 04-22-2026 I muggeled up this post mulligan RE: Peace Prevails - Beno Velaul - 04-22-2026 Beno couldn’t agree more—this felt different. It wasn’t the first time she’d been kissed like that, but something about this one shifted instantly. Her eyes widened, pupils swallowing the color until they looked almost black. Something familiar crept in. The voices around her began to fade, stretching into the distance as her vision narrowed. The world pulled away—and then, just as suddenly, it changed. Not just what she saw. Where she was seeing from. The next moment didn’t feel like hers. It felt like waking up inside someone else. A new host. Confusion followed, thick and disorienting. And then the memories came. Warmth first—her mother’s embrace. Safe, steady, real. Then childhood. Simple days, where the hardest choices were which playground to visit and which toys to bring. Her first kiss—a boy, awkward and sweet. Then a girl—softer, better. The memories didn’t stop. They stacked, blurred, collided. Emotions scattered in every direction, too many to hold, too fast to understand. At some point, Beno didn’t realize she had stopped breathing. For a brief second Beno projected an image of Michael he smiled at her for a second before disappearing again, it was like a final good bye. Time slipped. Then— “I got you.” Alex’s voice. “Just breathe.” Michael’s. Her lungs finally obeyed. The first inhale came sharp and loud, breaking through everything else. "Sorry about that. Alcohol can play tricks on us all sometimes...even I slip a little once in a while." Her eyes were returning to normal Beno thought he was being silly, because of course she was safe. She had...well...she knew...well, she...she had what? That was when Alex answered her for a question she had not yet asked, "You simply used a sense that you never experienced before. Maybe you should sit down and let your heart calm down." If Beno didn't sit down quickly, she would fall. If it were not for Alex propping her up, Beno would already be there. This had been an experience unlike anything else, the level of power from it literally took her breathe away. Alex wrinkled his nose in a playful way and she could still feel his emotions pouring off of him like a roaring wave that was powerful enough to crush reefs to sand, yet only a delicate wave washed ashore to tickle her feet playfully in the sand. She was still seeing the images in her mind as he spoke, "A heck of a first date so far." He rolled his eyes and joked, "I don't get out much." It was pretty strong stuff for a "first date" As first dates go they were always awkward where both parties had no idea what to do, always fumbling your way through it until it ends in one of a few ways. In every way possible there was always something to be learned from it, the first kiss almost always makes or breaks the end of the night. At this point Beno knew that how she was going to wake up was going to be different, when both Alex and Beno woke up in the morning they will have a smile they cant hide. "Alex there is something we should talk about at some point, just not so openly. For tonight." Beno was never short for words, and right now Beno had none. all she could do was wait until everything started to stabilize again, she had sound judgment but highly unstable on her feet. ==Tag== RE: Peace Prevails - Jez Mala - 04-23-2026 ==Lieutenant K'vada, Klingon/ Vulcan, Temp Science NRC == K’Vada found it strange when Diaz said, "Not much to tell. K’Vada was a bit of a Historian, especially Human History as a member of Star Fleet she took an elective class called Earth History, so found humans fascinating, in that they were like Klingons, in that for Centuries that engaged in conquest. I got up early the next morning to do a security check on an old Temple. That way the dig team could get started early, When I returned,” Said Mike, his voice started to crack. “And when I returned, everyone was dead.” Said Mike, his face trying to hide his tears. “ Jez's parents, my wife, our friends and colleagues, all dead, there were signs of disruptor fire, large crystal spikes( a Gorn weapon), as well as Gorn tracks, and there were a few Nausicaan Tegolar Swords.” stated Mike, Mike knew that the evidence was circumstantial at best, it could have been someone implicating the Klingons, the Gorn and the Nausicaans, but the question is why. “The Archaeologists were just excavating an ancient temple belonging to a minor power native to the planet. They hadn’t offended anyone, no locals were protesting, as there were no locals, the planet was uninhabited.” Said Mike, his voice filled with a mixture of rage and sadness. “ I’m hoping that you will help me investigate and bring the murders to justice.” added Mike. Mike knew his chances were slim that the Aquila would or could help, he felt that someone had targeted the Mala’s and he feared Jez would be next. Jez had told him that the crew of the Aquila was the best, that she trusted them implicitly. “Please, if you won’t do it for me, at least do it for Jez.” Added Mike. == Tag Brooks, Velaul and Talion.== RE: Peace Prevails - Beno Velaul - 04-25-2026 There was a part of Beno that wanted to spring into action, however she knew this would make matters worse. There were people in place for things like this. Star Fleet Security was there to keep their people safe, they have resources that a single ship wouldn't no matter the size. "This is al the more reason to take it to Star Fleet security, they have resources available that we don't. They can conduct a stealth operation to look into this, if we go into this right now it will only get worse. Organized Crime really do their homework on the person and everyone around them, they would know we are coming before we even set course. So that leaves the only viable option Star Fleet Security, if we don't the consequences are severe all round." The list of problems that could come their way starts with an international incident, if Civilian Authorities were involved matters would get worse again. ==Tag== RE: Peace Prevails - Alexander Talion - 04-26-2026 Alex narrowed his eyes at Mister Denton and did what he did best when presented with such a problem, he used his brain. He didn't know this man and for an experienced Security man, he seemed more nervous that worried or scared and that seemed out of place for such a veteran. With a single nod, Alex added, "Yes, obviously Star Fleet Security sound be informed. I'm also interested who has jurisdiction over such an investigation and prosecution." He brought his other hand up, holding his small PADD from his pocket, "Did you get that?" A female voice Beno recognised responded, [Yes, I'll verify who has jurisdiction.] "Increase to level three, notify a contingency team to stand by for each location and warm up the Spectre and Valkyrie, just in case." There was a second of hesitation before the voice responded, [Done.] "Additionally, please verify and clear Mister Dalton in all aspects per protocol." [Acknowledged.] Alex then gave a professional smile to Denton, "That covers Mala, the investigation and...contingencies..." Alex paused before asking, "Have you spoken to Jez yet, because I find it hard to believe that had you done so, she is not in here speaking with us and her CO, but if not, why would you come to us before her, if your first concern is for her personal safety. Please forgive me Mister Dalton, we've not met before, but I have taken her into my care, so to speak, assisting her in certain personal matters. I have a protective nature of friends , family and crew. As a former Security man, I'm sure you can understand." == Mister Dalton is being scanned on a quantum level to establish and verify his identity. Cindy is able to do this by using the ship as if preparing to perform an emergency transport and then read the data and compare it. His identity is being verified, as well as ruling out various possibilities such as Changeling or other altered forms. There is also a signal being sent to confirm who has jurisdiction over the planet in question and investigation of those reported killed. The other details will be discussed as needed, but I will need input on those details to determine my next course of action, if any. Should any of the scans come back with dangerous results, protocols would immediately be initiated to contain and neutralize, but if he is who he says he is, it will be much easier and friendlier. == RE: Peace Prevails - Cologero Coppola - 04-26-2026 "Not much to tell. Uh--San Francisco, Class of '26. I'm from this little backwater colony in the upper Alpha Quadrant, and I guess I didn't feel like sticking around. My uncle told me I could probably get a commission if I wanted to, so I joined up." Listening to him there wasn't much said, normally this made it a little more interesting. That was until the big question was asked, something like he has been asked a million times before. “ So Diaz, are you related to Armando Diaz or Bernal Díaz del Castillo by chance?” Said K’Vada , her voice filled with a hint of curiosity. Cologero smiled for a second. "Isn't that the loaded question?" His voice had a small chuckle. "It is a good thing for me that the sins of the Father didn't keep me out, deep in my family tree is one of the biggest kings in organized crime. I came from Cefu Sicily as you put it a backwater place, it was great to grow up there." Fortunately all the real crime was long before Cologero was born, now it was just family history passed down through the generations. As a youth he formed his own Mob, it was just children being children playing make-believe. "I look forward to working with you, we are going to have to be two halves of the same part. For now lets work on those first day apprehensions, I am not exactly cozy with anyone but I know things." Through observations he picked up on how to make proper introductions. He glanced over at the small meeting going on, it was something odd considering he didn't recognize the man. He would worry about it if needed, until then Cologero was just enjoying his time there. ==Tag== RE: Peace Prevails - Jez Mala - 04-27-2026 == Commander Michael Denton Chief of Security( Retired), Temp NRC == Mike stood there for a moment, he was feeling overwhelmed, “Yes Commander, I presented my evidence to Star Fleet Commander and after they deliberated for several weeks, they sent it back to me saying, The Incident occurred outside of Federation Borders, I approached the Gorn Government and they deny any involvement and consider the incident closed and the Klingons said, that if the Mala’s were trespassing, then they got what they deserved.” Said Mike. Mike had to fight a surge of anger when Commander Talion said, "Have you spoken to Jez yet, because I find it hard to believe that had you done so, she is not in here speaking with us and her CO, but if not, why would you come to us before her, if your first concern is for her personal safety. Please forgive me Mister Dalton, we've not met before, but I have taken her into my care, so to speak, assisting her in certain personal matters. I have a protective nature of friends , family and crew. As a former Security man, I'm sure you can understand." Mike totally understood what Commander Talion was saying. “Yes, I know of your relationship with Jez, she told me all about you and no Commander Talion, I haven’t spoken with Jez yet. How do you explain to a person you helped raise, your student, someone you consider a daughter that her parents are dead? I want to have a plan of action ready, because I know Jez, she will want to go off on a vengeance filled crusade. If you haven't noticed she can be a bit stubborn at times. Not to mention the fact how you would like to get a subspace message telling you that your loved ones are dead. Plus, I didn’t want to take a chance that whoever did this might be tracking my communications.“ Said Mike. Mike felt a renewed anger, his wife and friends were murdered, he had no idea why, or by who. He ensured that his wife reached Valhalla safely, or in her case Sha Ka Ree, as Mike’s wife was a Vulcan. Mike had no idea why the Mala’s were murdered, the planet they were on was nothing remarkable, no valuable resources, no strategic value. None of it made sense. “Please, I’m not asking for myself, I’m asking for Jez.” Said Mike, his voice slightly cracking with grief. == Tag Talion and Velaul RE: Peace Prevails - Beno Velaul - 04-28-2026 Some people would see being stubborn as a liability, while Beno sees it as an asset. If it was put to god use it can produce results, unless it was set on the wrong things. "As a member of Star Fleet we take care of our own, Jez might be a security officer but still under our protection. This is something I take seriously considering I have taken interest in her, I am considering taking her under my wing as my right hand women." She displayed a lot of promise on the surface, almost as if she was doing calculated responses. "Now the unfortunate part, we are unable to officially help. Other than diplomatic relations between the Gorn and Klingons have always been complicated in the best of times, we could send the wrong message to the Governments possibly making diplomatic relations worse to null and void." She glanced at Alex for a second. "Now the party is almost over and soon all of us are going to have to report for duty, so I suggest please enjoy some drinks and food. I am about to retire for the evening, I am more worn out than I thought. Alex I could use an escort to quarters on the ship, I question my equilibrium but not from the drink." She didn't really drink that much, this wasn't the time or place to get that wild. >>>Tag>>>>> RE: Peace Prevails - Alexander Talion - 04-29-2026 Alex nodded and gave Beno an understanding look as he stood, but spoke before they prepared to depart, "Sir, We've both taken an interest in Jez. I have helped her personally with her legal issues and I will take the time to have a private conversation with her on this matter as well. As a Star Fleet officer, my hands are tied, but as a man with private family connections, I can promise you that I will look into it in my own way, but it may take time. I'm sorry for your loss and offer my deepest condolences. You should spend time with Jez and help her as best you can. There's no telling how soon we will be off on our next mission." Having said that, he offered his hand to Beno. In every way, Alex appeared to be the caring gentleman, yet Beno was aware that there was almost a constant touch from him in some way. If it wasn't him holding her hand, there was one at the small of her back or the brush of his shoulder. She was acutely aware of it, yet it felt completely appropriate for the moment. This may have officially been their first date, but it felt as if they had been together for longer. >>> Tags >>> |
