It contains a Lounge and Dining Area, Bar, and several types of seating. It serves food and beverages (synthahol, alcohol, or otherwise), and is the social hub for downtime and events. While it wasn't uncommon to find Ardanna in ten forward when she wasn't working a late shift, you wouldn't usually find her dressed up as she called it, unless she was attending some function that didn't require her dress uniform. Tonight, however, happened to be one of those rare occasions where she had spent just as much time finding a suitable outfit as she had getting ready. The brunette also had to agonise over what to wear by herself since her roommate, K'Deela, was still recovering from her injuries in Sickbay. While she could easily imagine how helpful the hybrid would be, Ardanna had to go it solo. Assuming this didn't end in a complete disaster, she would have quite a lot to tell K'Deela, who had often pointed out the obvious attraction between her friend and Pearson, even if Ardanna hadn't quite realised it until recently.
Circumstances had shown the freighter brat how precious life could be, and more importantly, not to waste it worrying about breaking her dating rules or ruining her friendship with the handsome, slightly older Australian. So, having agreed to meet at the lounge on Deck ten, and with Ardanna finally settling on a long dark green halterneck dress that reflected thin silver strands in the light, matching heels and leaving her long hair loose, she walked in confidently, ignoring those who looked at her as if they couldn't quite believe that it was her.
Feeling suddenly nervous and exposed, Ardanna quickly found a seat near one of the windows, hoping the view would soothe her, as it had when she was a child, rather than hiding in the crawl spaces when things got particularly tough. Shaking those thoughts aside, Ardanna ordered a synthehol vodka and lime and waited for her date to arrive.
