Earlier this month Star Fleet Command announced that Commodore Sonia Nezmah would be accepting a new position and would be moving out of her position as the Fleet Commander. Shortly after, Command announced that Commodore Nicholas Ristone would be tapped as her replacement.

Commodore Ristone has served in a variety of positions during his long Star Fleet career. He began as a Security Officer on the USS Sheridan, where he eventually served as the Chief of Security. Ristone also served as Security Chief on the USS Gettysburg. He was First Officer on the USS Nova briefly before taking Command of the USS Pegasus.

In addition to these starship assignments, Ristone served as the Chief of Staff for Admiral Scott at Security Headquarters, SECCOM for the Fourth Fleet, as well as Base Commander for Delta and Deputy Fleet Commander under Admiral Grayson. Most recently Ristone was stationed back on Earth at Security Headquarters.

The official change of command ceremony is scheduled to take place on Starbase Bravo with Admiral Thomas Grayson performing.
