HD02 - Medical Cadet Tes Th'etellis
#1
== Welcome to your holodeck, Cadet Th'etellis

Read the following information carefully, because it has a fair amount of important information for you.  If you have any questions or difficulties at any time, please contact one of the following people for assistance.  We’d be glad to help you out.

Commander Jasal
Commander Shanth
Captain Allen

Remember, during your time at the Academy, people have responsibilities such as school, jobs, and family, as well as maintaining our site. There are times when we may have to wait longer than we’d like for a reply to a post or a question. Patience and treating each other with respect and dignity are two things that are absolutely required of all members.

On the flip side, the Constitution states that players need to post at least twice a week.  If you find you are unable to keep up due to something coming up in real-life responsibilities or you’re just going to be on holiday, please let one of the Admins know.  You can be granted a leave of absence for the length of time you think you’ll be away.  If you don’t let us know and you suddenly disappear, this could end with you being considered AWOL and eventually removed from the active cadet roster.

Now… with all of that said, let’s get to your character’s bio!

Please begin by posting your bio using the template below. Once posted, your bio will be reviewed by an Evaluations representative. They will post comments for you and suggest any adjustments your bio might require.  Once they approve your bio, you will be assigned an instructor and your adventure will begin!

Federation Space is a written RPG. With that said, we ask that you try to pay attention to spelling and grammar in your posts.  Posts properly formatted are easier and more enjoyable for everyone to read. I strongly recommend you run your bio and any posts you make through a spell check before posting them.

Next are a few resources that can help you as you write your bio:

Be sure to check out playable races.

Our character development page is a great resource to help you fill out your bio form.

One last thing, please take time to read and understand our site’s canon page.  This will help you understand what 'Trek' related information is included on our site.

Again, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!  And as always - have fun!

Tes was born on the continent of Voral on the planet of Andoria to a family of well-known local merchants who had been wanting a child for a long time. His childhood could be described as good, mostly uneventful (in the realm of bad events), though he was often doted on by his Shen mother especially. When he was about eight years old, his family became aware of his extreme curiosity and his high intellect. Excited by this and wanting their child to be successful, they immediately began planning to get Tes into Starfleet.

This didn’t upset Tes; he revered Starfleet officers, especially Starfleet doctors. He did his very best to get into the Academy, and his parents, though with the best intentions, pushed him along. Tes burned out fast, and his Shen mother was the first to stop pushing and start helping. The family exhausted nearly every resource they had to help Tes through his burnout. Finally, though tired and exhausted, he got himself into Starfleet Academy.

While at the Academy, Tes mostly kept to himself, but his reserved nature caused him to connect with another cadet: Santtu Uljas. Uljas was severely extroverted and often dragged Tes along with him to social events, introducing him (to Tes’ horror) to everyone there. Tes would begrudgingly participate in these events, though he would often purposely avoid conversations.

== Questions ==
Most Painful Experience: Tes had a very nasty fall when he was eleven years old from the top of a two-story building while playing with a childhood friend. He comminuted his right femur, incompletely fractured his right ilium, had a greenstick fracture in his left ulna, and dislocated his left wrist, as well as multiple bruises, scrapes, and cuts. While he was healing, he remembered his family staying close by him. That helped to lessen the intense pain, if only a little.
Best Time: Conducting his own symphony. He was especially fond of that time because his family was there and he knew that they were proud of him.
Most Crucial Experience: Tes got lost in a large crowd in a large metropolis on Andoria and was separated from his parents when he was five years old. Lost and with nowhere to go, he was about to give up when a Vulcan, a Starfleet medical officer on shore leave named Stylkek, calmed him and came with him to find his parents. As they went Stylkek kept talking about his career to young Tes to keep him calm. When they finally reached his parents, Stylkek bade him goodbye and Tes became set on becoming a Starfleet medical officer.

== Thank you, Cadet. Before we can proceed, I'd like you to repost your bio, as when it's transferred across, there seems to be an issue with the formatting, as the text, etc., is too big and difficult to read (you can have a look at the other bio's that have been posted to get an idea as to how it should look). Also, we'd like you to elaborate a little more on your personal history. At what age did Tes enter the Academy?, What were his classes like? And why did he choose Medicine? , Once that's done, we can continue :-) ==

Personal History: Tes was born on the continent of Voral on the planet of Andoria to a family of well-known local merchants who had been wanting a child for a long time. His parents were good to him and treated him well, and Tes was often doted on by his Shen mother especially. His childhood did consist of many physical accidents due to him being careless. It caused a massive shift in his demeanor, becoming wary and anxious.

Finally, though tired and exhausted, he got himself into Starfleet Academy at the age of 20. Remembering his many encounters with kind medical staff due to his repeated childhood injuries, his enjoyment of the biology unit during generalised science class, and especially his fond encounter with the Starfleet medical officer Stylkek as a child, Tes found himself gravitating towards the field of medicine.

His classes were tough, and he often found himself falling behind on work and burnt out again. Nevertheless, he always found Uljas by his side, hyping him up and keeping him on the right track. Multi-species medicine was his favourite class, and one he found himself quite good at, not that he wasn’t good at Xenobiology, of course.

== much better Cadet & thank you for the additions, however, there still seems to be an issue with the formatting. It could be the font used and bold being used;  it's also handy when posting to use the post as plain text when copying it over. So if you could rectify that and resubmit, then we can get you sorted with an Instructor, again have a look at the other bios to see how they've been posted :-) ==
