Ens Ava Baldwin was stationed in the Security Office as coordinator of ship wide security when the the Yellow Alert sounded. she immediately began the Yellow Alert protocols required for General Quarters One - Yellow Alert. There is no obvious change in ship's routine, though one Security Officer may be stationed on the bridge.

Quickly noting the whereabouts of all security offices she realised that Lt Gath was already on the bridge so the requirement to station a officer on the Bridge had already been fulfilled. All Security Officers are issued phasers from the ship's armory according to Yellow Alert procedures. There were phasers already on the bridge so there was no need to arrange a phaser for Lt Gath.

Ens Baldwin immediately issued a directive to all security officers to wear sidearms, set to stun. If the could not procure a sidearm at their station they were to come to the armory and be issued with a weapon immediately by the Armory officer, then take up there assigned posts for Yellow Alert and call the coordinator in the security office advising that they were in position. Protocols stated that 'all other departments maintain normal shift rotations and assignments (except where ordered).'

Ava check each head of section's communication of their station and the number of armed officers with them as they call in and noted it on the security computer and acpy of all deployed officers was sent to the security station on the bridge.

Ens Baldwin directed one of the newest additions to the security department, Midshipman Jack Riscoe to collect a sidearm for the Armory and head to Sickbay, the designated officer for security in Sickbay had call in sick, and was still in his quarters. Once he was in position and all had reported as in place Ava contacted Lt Gath on the Bridge to report all Yellow Alert station are set with officers.
