Starfleet Academy
Starfleet Academy's auditorium is a huge, bright, modern-looking space capable of seating over 500 people. The entire South wall is made up of windows allowing the sunshine in and an awe-inspiring view of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. On the other walls hang large painted portraits of Starfleet legends--the noble people who set an example for cadets and officers alike--including the likes of Jonathan Archer, Christopher Pike, and Kathryn Janeway. There are currently a few dozen beings of various races occupying the auditorium: some are talking in small groups and others just enjoying the view between classes. Most are wearing uniforms designating them as cadets at Starfleet Academy. A few are wearing the purple tunic that denotes them as Academy personnel.
Just below the stage is the admissions area; a long desk sits there with multiple computer terminals as well as two or more officers. At the center position is usually found Captain Maddie Allen, the Academy Superintendent . Newly arrived Cadets report to her for training holodeck assignments, where they will undertake the final portion of their four year academy training. The Dean of Evaluations, Commander Carrs Jasal, can be counted on for assistance as needed.
There is a queue of cadets at the admissions area, awaiting their turn to accept the assignment for their final examination here at Starfleet Academy.
== Welcome to Federation Space RPG and Starfleet Academy! We're so glad you've decided to join us.
Please make your first post below! The post should contain two things...
First, write an in-character portion describing your character's arrival in the auditorium. They have just completed four years at Star Fleet Academy and are waiting the assignment for their final examination. They should report in to the Admissions desk to the officer on duty for their assignment.
Secondly, you must read the Cadet Code of Conduct and the Federation Space Constitution. Include in your post an out of character statement that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these documents.
For example:
Cadet Davis entered the auditorium and tugged at the stiff collar of his uniform. Seeing the admissions desk and the short line of Cadets, he approached and waited to catch the eye of the officer on duty.
"Cadet Davis reporting for assignment sir!" He cringed at the volume of his own voice, hoping no one noticed the error.

Michael came into the bright auditorium filled with passion and excitement at the same time. He and his group of four boys were turning into men in the blink of an eye, and it seemed so quick. He looked across the halls spanning off from the main auditorium and reflected upon his memories of his training and testing all through the classrooms over the last four years, and felt a small tear come to his eye upon realizing what this moment meant for him. For years, he dreamed of the stars and longed to serve with Starfleet in the greatest mission of all. This was his moment.
He made his way to the front desk and waited in line with other cadets reporting for the same purpose. As the line grew shorter, he felt the anticipation grow in his stomach as anxiety grew within him upon getting his final academy assignments. Finally, he was next to present at the counter and he brought his PADD forward with the correct credentials authorizing him for his final testing. He snapped to attention and called out boldly to the one operating the front desk...
"Cadet Michael Brennan reporting for duty sir!"

Another day, and Amelina was right where she wanted to be, even if she wasn't currently teaching classes. Between her normal duties and the additional ones since becoming Acting Dean of Admissions, the brunette Commander simply loved the busyness of it all, and yet also managed to make time for herself. That was always important as she finished with one Cadet before Brennan approached the desk and reported in. A quick check of the schedule, and Amelina soon found the confirmation of where Brennan would be headed to complete his final examination.
" Ah, yes, Cadet, you are to report to Holodeck 6, your Instructor will meet you there shortly".

Cadet Riley Wright stepped into the Starfleet Academy Auditorium, her boots clicking softly against the floor as she crossed the threshold. The space was huge, bigger than she remembered, banners hanging overhead and rows of cadets already waiting their turn. The air carried that mix of polish and recycled climate control she’d come to associate with Academy halls.
She wasn’t tall — not even close — but she held herself like someone twice her size. Shoulders squared, chin lifted, every step measured. Dark eyes moved steadily across the room, taking in the desks at the front, the restless shuffle of cadets, the glow of the lights above. A few strands of black hair with violet highlights had slipped free, brushing against her cheek, but she ignored them.
The scale of the place pressed on her just a little, poking at memories she’d rather forget. She breathed in slow, let it out even slower. This is it. Years of work, and it all comes down to this.
The thought almost pulled a smirk out of her. Too small for Security, huh? Let’s see who’s still saying that after today.
Her pace stayed steady down the central aisle, boots marking time on the floor until she came to a stop at the front. Straightening to attention, she fixed her gaze forward.
“Cadet Riley Wright, reporting for final examination.”

Amelina looked up from where she was seated behind the desk as Cadet Wright approached. Having a Security background herself, never failed to bring out a sense of pride whenever a Cadet took that path, and now Wright was about to embark on something equally as important than all the years of study, she had endured and thrived through to reach this point.
" At ease Cadet, and yes, please report to Holodeck 7, you're instructor will be with you shortly".

Riley stayed at attention as the words registered, the edge of tension in her shoulders easing when she heard her assignment.
“Understood, ma’am.” Her reply was steady, clipped in the way she’d practiced countless times before.
She gave a quick nod before turning on her heel. The sound of her boots on the polished floor seemed louder now, each step carrying her farther from the desk and closer to whatever waited in Holodeck Seven. The hum of voices in the auditorium faded into the background, replaced in her mind by the pulse of her own thoughts.
Her gaze stayed forward, her stride steady as she left the hall behind. The familiar knot of anticipation sat in her chest, but beneath it was something else too — resolve. Whatever test waited beyond those doors, she intended to meet it head-on.

Kele felt like she couldn’t hold back her excitement. Today was the day many, including some of her own family, told her would never come. Today is her final assignment in the Academy.
When it was finally her turn, she smirked as she said “Cadet Kele, reporting for assignment.”

After watching Wright head in the direction of her assigned holodeck, Amelina turned her attention back to another approaching Cadet. This time it was Cadet Kele, a medical Cadet who was also about to take her final examination.
" Cadet Kele, yes, I have the details here. Please report to holodeck eight, your Instructor will meet you there".

A'kilees pondered over his personal dataPADD, scratching his scaly chin as he headed towards the Auditorum. His newest starship designs had been taking him months and he was unsure of the nacelle placement. Were they too high? Should the frame be widened to compensate? There were a multitude of questions that were to be answered but they definitely weren't going to be answered by this afternoon. He had been hoping to put in a few minutes worth of design work before his examination to relax but resigned himself that any further development would have to wait as he placed his dataPADD into his side bag.
He walked through the hallway, towering over many of the various other cadets, some who would give him a wider berth or give a friendly smile or acknowledgement as they passed. Groups of Humans, Vulcans, Benzites, Andorians, a few Caitians and a number of other species wandered through the hall going to and from classes or were lingering between classes chatting loudly. Unfortunately, he had been one of the few recent Saurian applicats to Starfleet at the time. He had hoped his eggmate H'ektorr would have joined him at the Academy years ago but he as busy working elsewere back on Sauria. They hadn't contacted each other in a while due to A'kilees focus being solely on his time at the Academy. Never the less A'kilees had made it this far on his own and the final examination lay ahead.
The hallway opened up to the Auditorium and A'kilees immediately saw the Admissions desk. There was a open line with no cadets waiting. Quickly, A'kilees adjusted his uniform and briskly walked up to the officer on duty presenting his dataPADD.
"Cadet A'kilees Peleus, re*click click*porting for examination"

The next Cadet in line to report for their final examination was Cadet A'kilees Peleus, one of a few Saurian cadets at the Academy. Checking the schedule, Amelina soon found his assigned holodeck.
" Yes, Cadet, please report to holodeck nine, your instructor will meet you there".
