Doing something a little bit different, based on something I saw being done on another Trek forum and a Star Trek Adventures Discord that I'm part of.
"You're the Admiral" puts players in charge of a sector of nonaligned space and presents hypothetical situations for them to address and solve, moving the plot of the scenario towards a solution. At times, players will also be invited to critique other players' responses, and create their own situations for other players to address to ensure that no player has the exact same experience. It's a lot of thinking, a lot of writing, but it should give people a chance to exercise their brains - especially those who aspire to command.
