Do you have any stories from the academy? Qi had asked as he began recalling on such incident from his past. Bowman then went on to recount one of her experiences.
Thankfully, the Captain took that most opportune moment to begin her speech.
“Not exactly what I was expecting.” Said Bowman after a beat. “Feels like we dressed up nicely for no particular reason.”
“They'll probably gather us all together for a group photo shortly, if we're very unlucky, just like they did on graduation day.” Said Papaver. “Only, they'll open the shutters, gather us all up in front of the windows and with crew and ship in shot, we'll end up in the FNN tabloids, buried on page six next to the classified ads and the twenty things you knew you never wanted to know about Captain Vaughn article... Oh look, the buffet's open!”
