"I don't know what they're thinking, but the generators are creeping towards the red line. At current rates, call it 10 minutes before it can't be reversed. I'm keeping a close eye on it."
The report from her Chief Engineer caused Tyra to hum slightly. "I've found that desperation doesn’t really lead to rational decision. Helm, be prepared to move us a safe distance away if needed." While the first part had been said with a hint of an edge, the last merely sounded resigned.
After a few minutes of watching and waiting, an update came. [Calleja to Artemis. Engine room is secured, Han is workin’ to take control supported by Okehampton and team. Bridge team takin’ fire. We’re investigatin’ the cargo and accordin’ to the tricorder we literally got Klingons comin’ out the walls. Will report back.]

Though predictability didn't mean harmless, she reminded herself as a request for medical transport came through.
"Thank you, Lieutenant," she said to Devereaux after the science officer had jumped on the transport request.
"How are the power levels looking? Did taking control of engineering get it?"
