Emily’s fingers flew over the console, bringing up K’Deela’s medical records as soon as the call came through. Her gut clenched as she highlighted the severity of the injuries. Pierced lung, severed arm- if they didn’t get her stabilized immediately, she wouldn’t last long enough for reconstruction.
She caught Robin’s glance and nodded. No room for hesitation.
"On it," she said crisply, already queuing up critical stats on the surgical field’s display. The synthesized blood would take time, too much time, but that wasn’t something she could fix. Just control what you can.
“Doctor Sydesh,” she called, moving alongside Beka as the team snapped into motion. “I’ll monitor her vitals and fluid levels. If she crashes before we get the synthesized blood--” she exhaled sharply, “--we’ll have to work with volume expanders and pray we don’t hit rejection.”
It wasn’t the first time she’d had to fight biology itself to keep a patient breathing, but Klingon hybrids were always a wildcard. She tightened the gloves around her hands, focus razor-sharp.
"Let’s get her in. We don’t have time to waste."
