As the bridge crew monitored the qoH, the core output began to drop swiftly. Then, on the side of the freighter nearest the Artemis, there was a quick buildup on a loop of conduits. Before anything more than just seeing it could happen, however, it exploded and vented its plasma directly towards the Artemis.
The ship rocked and shook, klaxons ringing, as the helm fought against Maxas-Darl's control, and the tractor beam immediately fizzled.
"Steady helm!" called out Jolann. "Damage reports!"
