Michael walked in to the auditorium he was always inspired by the portraits of the legends of the past hung around the room. He see. The stage down below where he was to report to for his final exam. His years at the academy seem to go by fast, and now he was ready to take the next steps into his career with Starfleet. He stopped at the south wall staring at the San Francisco Bay, the view was beautiful the first time he saw it was when he was accepted into the academy, now he wondered if he would ever see it again.
He looked at the PADD he had in his hand with a half written letter to his parents, what was he going to say to them. His father was against him joking Starfleet, and his mother cried for days after he told her he was going. After what happened to his brother, he couldn’t blame them, but for him this was an honor, and away to be closer to his brother once again.
Michael straightened his uniform and took a deep breath he approached the stage slightly nervous, but ready for the next challenge, and what would await him after the exam. He stepped up to the desk stood at attention and couldn’t help but smile he was ready.
“Cadet Michael J Johnson, Reporting as ordered.”
