It's an adaptive algorithm that adjusts to its environment, and attacks that might come its way. In its final stage a rolling blackout of all major systems, this would be our exit strategy. Once we are safely off the planet, the program slowly starts to shut down. An hour later the entire virus disappears from their systems, and their life can continue like before just without us.
