Several patients appeared in Sickbay. Östberg was among them, and Robin was hit by a wave of simultaneous guilt and irritation. She'd sent him over there and he's been hurt. But there was a good chance he'd done something dumb, playing the cowboy. Lieutenant Nalar moved in immediately, tricorder out, the normally-jovial Bolian showing concern. He and Östberg had become pretty tight friends, Robin knew, despite their rather different personalities. He started assigning cases, and Östberg was at the top of the list.
"Grade 3 concussion, fractured left collarbone. Doctor Sonaalk, will you please prep for surgery? Bay 2." The Vulcan doctor acknowledged and moved off with his team.
Robin smiled grimly as her friend assigned the rest of the cases. She wanted to just be a nurse, and a brief flash of resentment hit her. But she wasn't just a nurse anymore, and she had to let her people do their jobs. For all the seeming chaos this was what they had trained for, and the injuries of the away team weren't close to actually putting a strain on Sickbay's capabilities. If things got worse she'd grab a medkit, but it would hardly do for her to take someone else's job. Most of her staff was green, and they needed this, as horrible as that might have sounded.
