[We’ve got at least one missing officer unaccounted for. Fire’s partially controlled, but we need EPS offline now or we’ll lose any chance of recovery.]
Jadaris took a moment to tap his badge and replied,
"Engineering to Alden. There should be a secondary EPS bypass on the deck. Flip the master switch and put bypass array's isolinear chip into the emergency bypass slot to shut off that EPS conduit. If we shut down the complete grid, we won't have the power to keep anything else running."
He looked at his PADD, and then at Ian, before deciding that the bulk of the hazard suit would be a bit much to use.
"Jadaris to Engineering team. Access hatches 8-A and 8-B should have the emergency forcefield controls for the aeroshuttle bay. I need at least two people in those maintenance hatches to ensure that the fire suppression forcefields re-engage, and the backup internal sensors can target the fires. If the backups are down, we'll need to move to manual targeting via the containment matrix."
He went over to the master systems display and tried to see if he could route just enough power to keep the deck emergency systems running, but also slow down the rate of plasma consumption by the ruptured EPS line so that it wouldn't stress the rest of the grid so much.
==GM Input: Is the engineering team able to access the maintenance hatches and restart the fire suppression forcefields, or at least target them manually to contain the fire? Also, is Jadaris able to reduce the grid stress by rerouting parts of the EPS grid around the aeroshuttle bay but keep the emergency systems on that deck powered?==
