Luckily for Ian, everything on the ship seemed to be working as it should be. Decompression controls were ready to go, emergency force fields were just a tap away from being set in place, and so far, the damage to the conduits was isolated. Predictably, the damage was spreading, but Ian considered that an easy fix.
Going down the pathways of the damaged conduits, Ian closed off certain lines with enough of a buffer zone to call it safe. In medical parlance, it would be called getting a wide margin and creating clean edges, and with Ian just barely not getting a double major, he wasn’t sure how engineers referred to this tactic.
Jadaris was doing something, something more important than Ian was, not that what Ian was doing wasn’t important. He definitely heard the words “EPS conduit”, along with “containment matrix”, but no one was talking directly to him, and so his brain did not pay attention. He was given a task, he was doing the task, and he was just about to complete the task. Then he could move onto the next.
==GM: Is Ian successfully able to head things off at the pass?==
