She couldn't help herself. Robin sat down at the Head Nurse station, her old station, and keyed in an update on the surgeries that were taking place. Östberg's was proceeding well. The damage was serious but nothing beyond the power of 25th-century medicine to repair. The blonde doctor would be fit for duty in a couple of days, though the CMO had already decided to put him on the injured list for the next week. Rest and relaxation. His tough-guy attitude would have him loading Holodeck combat medic training programs if she didn't, and she intended that he do nothing more strenuous than a walk on the beach at Maui.
The news was also good for K'Deela. Beka was a machine and had already cleared shrapnel and was patching the holes. Star had kept the officer from losing her arm. It wasn't life threatening damage, but reattaching a limb or attaching a biosynthetic one was always something that took significant recovery time and physical therapy. Robin didn't know the Security officer outside of the occasional exam, but she suspected that she'd be just as stubborn as any full Klingon.
What the heck is going on over there? Did they try to beam directly onto a bridge filled with hostile Klingons? We're lucky half the team didn't get massacred.
And there hadn't been any wounded prisoners beamed over. The nurse was pretty sure she knew what that meant. The Artemis officers tended to be a little more lethal than many Starfleet crews. Mara didn't pull her punches when it came down to a fight, figuratively or literally, and there were likely quite a few new residents of Sto'Vo'Kor.
She shrugged mentally. It wasn't her business, and she would never judge her friend. Robin's early years had been remarkably free of any sort of violence. The Security chief had gone through the sort of life that wasn't supposed to exist in the oh-so-civilized Federation. When humanity fell it fell hard. Right back into the old ways.
