The doors to the Aeroshuttle Dock were scorched by the flames and deformed by the intense heat of the plasma fire. One was quite obviously jammed in its track, molten metal having fun like wax and melted the two together before congealing in a solid mass when it cooled. The other door was bent inwards, towards the Security people, and the bY beyond was visible.
As was the charred body of the other crewperson, pinned by debris and unable to be moved without transporters or heavy lift equipment.
Squeezing through the gap into the bay itself, it became obvious that the source of the explosion had been one ofthe auxiliRy pieces of equipment used to prepare the Aeroshuttle.
Specifically a deuterium pump.
The pump and everything in the immediate vicinity was a total wreck, with most of the debris no bigger than a first. Tracking the cause would be difficult, but not impossible, and those who knew engines would count their blessings that it hadn't been hooked up to the deuterium tanks or the Glennis when it had exploded.
