==Race==
As the Yeager followed the other racers into the tail of the comet, angling to close on it quickly enough to slingshot around it, alerts sounded on the Helm, Tactical, and Science stations. The comet had recently passed by the Wairara system's star, and as such the tail was hyer-charged with all sorts of stellar particles and radiation. The mix was a concoction that could ruin the Yeager's race there and then, as it could easily clog thruster quads or impulse ducts.
In fact, that seemed to be occurring to one of the Wairara ships; the ship currently in third place seemed to enter a spin as its portside engines shut down, forward momentum carrying it toward the comet even as it spun out of control.
The spinning ship benefitted the Yeager though, as the Os'rusa had to jink to avoid it, and the Yeager's higher acceleration allowed her to pass the bulkier Cardassian ship. The Os'rusa wasn't far behind though, and wasn't losing ground as quickly as she should be.
Ahead, the first and second place racers had already made their turn and were out of sight. The Yeager was rapidly catching the third-place racer, who had just hit the 40,000km mark and began its own turn, slowing so as not to overshoot and depart the course.
The Yeager was at 50,000km and closing extremely rapidly.
==Tomer==
Tomer flinched back as Braggins bolted to her seat, and his face went ashen as she bent his finger backwards. Expression torn between rage and terror as the Yeager's Captain spoke, he tried in vain to ease the pressure. When she finally released him, his mouth worked for a moment as he tried to find something to say, before he turned and abruptly left the Bridge.
The expression on his face as he passed the rear consoles was one of humiliation, and of one who would ensure Braggins regretted her actions.
