== NRC Lt Tina Trask, Medical ==
Tina glanced to Cindy and then back to Aanil and spoke in a nearly hushed but conversational tone, "I have worked with Cindy before...on the Chin'toka. She was assigned to our medical staff. As experts in the field of cybernetics, she in one of the few I know with her level of experience. I knew Commander Talion was assigned to the ship, but didn't realize...um...in any case...yes, I trust her recommendations on this."
== NRC Lt Shavokh, Vulcan Surgeon ==
Shavokh spoke in her normal calm and level tone, "The credentials of the young lady aside, we have a patient in front of us. The heart is no longer viable, this is without question. Our options are to attempt to keep him on external life support while we heal him and consider options, or we place the life support equipment inside him and continue considering options. The implant version will be better for the patient, has a better survival rate and will return him to duty more quickly with less recovery time. It is an approved method by the Federation and Star Fleet. Unless someone has a better suggestion, I say we proceed before the patient expires while we debate the matter. Does the team concur?"
== NRC Cindy Talion, Synthetic ==
Cindy looked as if she might speak, but then appeared to reconsider. She had indeed been a surgical assistant on more than one ship. Her experience with Star Fleet was as long as Alex's and her experience in assisting him in his research went back more than 20 years. She had enough experience in dealing with ship crews that it was sometimes better to not speak. Her interactions over the years had taught her a great deal about people. In fact, it had taught her so much that she no longer had access to some of those engrams. She knew why as well, but that was not something to be dealt with in this situation. She had been called in to offer advice on a technical matter and she needed to take care not to overstep in that official capacity. She was only there to advise and assist, the decisions were in their hands.
