After having his ego bruised a little, Tom had fallen quiet for a bit and focused on his breakfast, not that he ate well, but it did taste good. At hearing someone address him directly, he grinned and responded, "Wow, you used sir so much there that I now feel like I have reached my daily limit. I'm in Tactical. The name is Tom, Tom Krandall."
He wiped the crumbs off his hand, half stood to extend his arm across the table and offered it to the woman. She looked like she could handle herself in a scrap. He then felt like being more honest than just listing his department, "Actually, just a pilot really. I find that my skills are in a three dimensional arena...or four if you count warp tactics. If it moves through space, I can find a way to eliminate the enemy with it."

With a warm smile, Raven replied, "Yep, that's me! Glad to meet you, Sam. Raven works, but some people call me Blue." It was only then that Sam noticed the dark eyes of Raven were actually such a dark blue that it was hard to tell where her pupils were unless the light hit them right, and then the light gave her eyes almost a purple shine.
She glanced around her at the ship, "I've been getting to know this old girl. She's a good ship."
