Sample A-445x-RU was uploaded and the computer began to work on it. And work.

Five minutes after receiving the order - far longer than a simple blood sample should have taken - the computer showed its results, making it clearer why it had struggled. Sample A-445x-RU was not a small blood sample from a single individual. At first, it had identified two separate individuals, a Cardassian and then another species it had to reference the archives to identify. As it kept crunching, however, the computer highlighted a problem: although each of the samples that were found appeared to have been deposited at the same time, they were not identical.
Several of the DNA samples had different amounts of telomeres on them, indicating that the owner of that particular set of DNA was a different age from the others, despite the functional part of the samples being identical. After it discovered this, the computer revised its estimates. There weren't two individuals.
There were thirteen.
5 of them were Cardassian. The others were Vorta. All of them were cloned.
