Currently there was nothing they could use, but the sensor scans of the system had identified some 'entertaining' possibilities for further Os'rusa-related shenanigans.
Of course, if they wanted to be serious about it, the Yeager did have a full complement of Quantum Torpedoes aboard...
==All==
As the Yeager rounded the comet, the viewscreen displayed one of the Wairara ships "porpoising" in space. The ship seemed to have gone insane, or at least the helm controls haywire, as it would jolt upwards and then sideways, then back the way it had come.
The other Wairara ship, which the race status display identified as the "Tusslebout", was ten thousand kilometers "above" the flailing ship and accelerating away.
As the Yeager passed the out-of-control ship, the impulse engines began to fluctuate. The displays showed vastly different power levels being supplied to each engine, changing seemingly at random, the subtle hum of the engine now rapidly going from near-silent to deafening shriek and back again. The Yeager bucked as the engines went out of control, threatening to throw the ship into a spin.
Worse, alarms on the Science console warned of forcefield failure over the hull breach, and the sensor screens had just gone entirely blank.
