Powl's comm chirped to life before the transport began. In it, it could be heard a voice saying:
"Energize"
There was the hesitation of the sound of the transporters coming through and then finally some conversation. A voice came through the comm channel loud and clear.
“C’had Kestir,” he spoke “Mistress Kestir tragically died in her sleep the other night, they had to do an emergency surgery – woke me up at three am, can you imagine! But I’m so happy to be here. I’m properly qualified of course, I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t –wouldn't be Kestir if I wasn’t! I’m so looking forward to these three weeks together!”
Torok had noted that there had been an unexpected delay that resulted in waiting for Kestir and until now. And now the reason and cause of the delay was immediately revealed. Things certainly had been flipped on its head and now the new Kesitr appeared to be resoundingly boisterous, vitality, and vigor. This could have serious repercussions for the summit as the were expected a 136 year old Kestir, and now there was somebody very different. Although, the symbiote would retain all of the memories and personality of the previous hosts, to many humanoid species, this was a foreign concept and could be perceived as betrayal or worse, a trap.
Muting the channel, Powl addressed the command chair, namely Lieutenant Ra'an.
"Lieutenant, apparently Kestir, is now a different Kestir."
