Lucy watched as they found an M-class planet orbiting a White Dwarf Star, along with a set of defense platforms from the Dominion War era. The planet would have made a good staging post during the war, but how did the Klingons overcome it? They were pirates and had done something sufficient to have Captain Crawford order the destruction of their vessel, while taking them prisoner.
It seemed odd that whoever the qoH worked for had managed to take Cardassians and Vorta captive. They'd need means to reproduce ketracel-white if they wanted to keep control of any Jem’Hadar. The Artemis had bested the qoH and her crew with few collateral issues. The defense platforms were trickier.
Apparently among the things retrieved from the qoH was a Dominion IFF. If it worked they wouldn’t need to blow up the platforms. Lucy had considered recalling the class-7 probes equipping them with something of a sufficient yield and taking down a few platforms.
The probes had found the qoH’s origin point, but would their sensor profile be sufficiently inconsequential with an explosive charge included? Lucy waited to see what the plan was. Long as the platforms were unmanned the IFF might do the job. Anyone laying optics on the Artemis would know she wasn’t one of theirs.
Lucy wondered what Sun Tzu would have made of space warfare. His tenets were useful in any battlefield. Upon making the next move they'd find out if there were more vessels out there. Hopefully their reliance was on the platforms.
