Evie looked up and smiled when Charlotte asked her question. "Actually its a little of both, please sit down it will take a little while." Evie had her full attention on Charlotte.
Charlotte took a deep breath and had a seat. She wasn't sure what was coming, but knew she had taken a risk when she had stood up for Emery and Kestir on the Sickbay floor. She listened attentively as Dr. O'Fee continued.
"I have signed off on his ability to perform his duties, medically he is perfectly sound, there is still a sixty hour window of concern that things can make a turn for the worse. A safer margin would tack on another ten, I have stated that under medical supervision everything should be fine. I feel in this timeframe both you and Doctor McEntre should monitor him to make sure they stay healthy, I am not saying any of you have to be with him every second of the day. Just while he is performing his duties that is high in stress, and cause a problem with the symbiont. Because of the scale of Diplomacy involved I feel having an report from the Head Nurse it would carry more weight, if you would like to add something or have me change something please let me know."
Charlotte waited a beat to make sure that Dr. O'Fee was finished before responding.
Charlotte nodded in understanding. "Of course, Doctor. I'll fill out a report right away. I'm also happy to coordinate with security and make sure that they know we need a medical professional around generally for the next sixty to seventy hours or so. And I have no problems volunteering myself for that duty."
Charlotte paused a moment before adding. "As far as Dr. Tyrus-McEntyre, I do not doubt his qualifications, or his professionalism at all. But, I am wondering if a conflict might be developing that would preclude Kestir from being Dr. Tyrus-McEntyre's patient. And maybe simple observation isn't technically a Doctor-Patient relationship, so it might be a non-issue. I just thought it worth bringing up that before I came back to your office that Mediator Kestir did ask the Doctor out on a date."
