The words that spilled from Beka's mouth once again took Aeryn by surprise, leaving the CSO perplexed at why her girlfriend seemed so adamant that Aeryn find someone else to be with. It didn't stop there, either, as Beka then decided that their relationship wasn't working. This wasn't what the scientist had expected, and she wondered where she had gone wrong when all she had done was give and be nothing but a supportive girlfriend, even going so far as to defend Beka and their relationship to those who thought it was wrong. She opened her mouth to speak, then promptly closed it again, trying to wrap her head around everything that Beka was saying, and then something seemed to snap inside of her as Beka apologised, before admitting how long it had been on her mind.
" You know what, maybe I am passive sometimes, but that's only because I care, Beka," she began, her built-up anger from earlier bubbling under the surface. " Then again, perhaps I cared too much, wanting to be a supportive girlfriend, for falling for you too fast, so I'd overlook everything else, ignoring the haters and those who questioned our relationship, because they didn't see you like I did".
Taking a deep breath, Aeryn couldn't bring herself to look at the woman who had shown her that dating someone from the same gender hadn't been so scary after all, but maybe it had been a mistake, maybe she expected too much and this was how Beka was repaying her for over a year of loving her.
" But now, you dump this on me right before my first mission in charge of a new department, which isn't ****ing scary enough, telling me that it's not working, completely blindsiding me, and you know what **** you Beka Sydesh. Thanks for making me look like an absolute fool to think this could have gone somewhere".
If she wanted to see Aeryn angry, then Beka had gotten her wish, and Aeryn wasn't finished with her either, as how could they possibly carry on when what was said couldn't be taken back?
" If you want to end it, then end it, I'm clearly not the right person for you, and after all the ****ing effort I put into this, for what to be told .... I can't deal with this right now, I really can't".
