Jadaris wasn't fond of things destroying his ship. Shutting down the engine was the safest idea, but that would create a thrust imbalance due to the Yeager's unique engine construction, and send them out of control. The second, was getting out of there, but that would also irradiate the entire compartment with plasma radiation. So, Jadaris grabbed the hatch and used his Gorn strength to pull it back into place despite the state of the servos. That would also hopefully keep the hatch in place since the servos would also be down, but there wasn't time to investigate whether or not it actually was sabotage.

However, he also tapped his badge and said,

"Jadaris to transporter room, I need a site to site from impulse engine one to the transporter pad. On my mark. If for some reason I do not give a mark, transport me anyways in about one and a quarter minutes, which is about the amount of time before the engine fully warms up again and begins to produce radiation."

Once that was done, Jadaris sent off a message to security,

"Jadaris to Security. Engine hatch servos have been burnt out. I am attempting to close the hatch before the engine irradiates the maintenance tunnels around the engine core. I will be attempting a site to site to transporter room one, even if I can't fully close the hatch; we can at least mitigate the damage, but I suspect sabotage, given these servos are designed to withstand the heat and radiation of the impulse engines."

Jadaris kept straining to close the hatch, fully aware of both the engine timing and the timing of the transporter, if it was still functioning.

==GM Input: Is Jadaris able to close the hatch, and is the transporter room able to grab him before the engine begins to irradiate the tube?==
