While waiting on her drink there was a part of her wanted to go to the other side, she spent a lot of time behind one while growing up. It was a different feeling being the receiver of drinks, and not being the mixologist. Naturally there was also someone who wanted to know about the Guest of Honor.
"So, you've met the Mediator then?" Amila asked curiously. "C'had Kestir? What's he like? From What I hear, he seems like he could be an interesting passenger to have on board for the next few weeks?" Ra'an asked.
It took more than a second to answer the question. "Yes I have had the..." It wasn't often that Evie was at a loss for words, this was one of those times. "That's one way of putting it." Evie started attempting to find the words, the ones that she wanted to use were probably the worst ones of all as they normally would be.
Then the big piece that had originally alluded her came into play, observations that she would have made while behind the bar. "Interesting isn't the word I would use to describe him, he came across as someone whose only interested in the old in and out. My first instinct was to smack him for treating Sickbay as some kind of Brothel, where he can scratch the old itch treating the other like they were disposable." This also described the behavior of youth discovering their bodies.
"Imagine this you suddenly woke up as a man, there is a whole new set of sensations to explore. What is the one thing you would want to do first?" It was a question she didn't think of until now. While Evie was going through the explanation Keir joined them.
"Greetings Commander, someone should work out a way to make dress uniforms more comfortable, unless that IS intentional." Evie had a grin that was hard to hide. "Silk and lace Commander. Between the uniform and skin is a layer of silk and Lace, it makes even this uniform a little more comfortable." It wasn't a fix for everyone but it worked for her."
There was still a bit of a silence before Keir spoke again "It looks like you and your team pulled off a small miracle. The setting looks amazing. Congratulations Lieutenant Ra'an to you and your team as well. I can hardly recognize the room." S/he added with a genuine smile.
Looking around hir gaze returned to the two officers, "So has our guest of honor ghosted us?"
"If my guess is right he is late because he needs clothes that are not fitted for a woman, and exploring new sensations with our newest Doctor. I just hope he isn't collateral damage when the sensations are explored." Evie did warn him about it in an earlier conversation, it all starts with excitement and pleasure. Until it all comes crashing down with tears and depression, ten gallons of ice-cream with enough alcohol to kill a whole herd of horse.
