It wasn't difficult for Aeryn to hear the call that came through from Security, from the way Svenson had addressed it after Mara had acknowledged the Science Chief's support of her idea. Better yet, it appeared as though the discovery that had been made gave them further credence when it came to potentially sending a team down to the facility. Something that her friend and fellow DH was quick to add to what she had already suggested to the Captain. Without any defences against transporters, it would negate the need to send a runabout, and Artemis could still get close enough, and as for the weapons platform, taking it out shouldn't be an issue, whether it was by Artemis's hands or the away teams.
If Tyra agreed to send a team, Aeryn couldn't help but wonder if her being cross-trained would allow her to be a part of it. This was her musing to herself as opposed to voicing her opinion about being included. However, if it came to it, then Aeryn wouldn't be shy in coming forward, although she would respect whatever decision Tyra made. Deep down, the redhead considered the possibilities and what they could find down there, whether this was a military operation or someone playing mad scientist, as she also awaited news from Maguire and medical.
Mara received a follow-up call, and it felt as though they were uncovering more and more about this place, deepening Aeryn's perspective and need to keep going until everything was laid bare, and the crew dealt with it accordingly.
" Agreed, and if necessary, Artemis could still provide some kind of distraction, even if it's using the probes".
They were still outside the ship, hovering and waiting, and there to be used if required.
