Han was glad to hear that she had done a good job. It wasn't easy to get positive feed back at least on her last ship it had been a pretty negative experience over all. She didn't regret moving to the Artemis, in fact, she wished she had been assigned there earlier in her short career. She hadn't come because of Damian but to get out of what she felt was going to be a toxic environment for her and hadn't regretted it. Han found herself grateful for Crawford giving her the chance to try a different atmosphere and not judging her for the fact that she was dating the first officer. Thinking of Damian caused her brain to filter back to the fact that he was arrested and carted away. That she still had no idea what was going on with him, how he was doing, and if he would be all right. She didn't know him well enough yet to have no doubts but she was pretty certain he wouldn't have done something to get arrested for.
"Thank you, sir," Ju lit up like a Christmas tree, eyes sparkling under the positive statement. "I'm prepared for the insanity of the Federation as best as I can be. I'm grateful I was able to actually give an away mission a shot!"
The Chief mentioned they were going to be hanging out here for a bit and so they were just doing busy work at the moment. So her task now was to do a diagnostic of the power transfer systems and make sure they were ready for whatever load they would need in the near future. Ju gave a quick nod, "On it."
He admitted he was going to replicate some Dominion-style tools and Ju hoped that worked out well for him. She didn't know what his hopes were for those at the moment but she was sure he had a plan. Turning, she headed towards her console to grab her tricorder and Engineering kit incase something needed to be worked on. However, half-way there she paused and turned. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out a Watermelon flavored Jolly Rancher. "Hey Chief, catch!"
She threw the candy at him with a smile on her face. There was nothing wrong with having a good sweet tooth and honestly sucking or eating on candy helped her concentrate when her brain was being a little extra. It was either that or doing something else like bouncing her leg, tapping on something, candy she had found was the most socially acceptable way to get some of her extra energy out when she needed to focus and concentrate or if she was feeling especially nervous or anxious about something. With her kit over her arm and her tricorder in hand she headed off to the power transfer systems hub. She wanted to double-check everything was good because depending on what kind of power they would need and for what. It was important the system could handle it because if the Artemis went down at the worst time it would be bad for all of them.
Lifting her tricorder she began to run a quick diagnostic setting her Engineering kit down while the computer did it's thing.
