==T'Lari==
The weakness of all variations of the Yeager was the lack of forward-firing torpedo launchers; they had been omitted due to the torpedoes being on the secondary hull of the Intrepid/Pathfinder designs. The firepower differential was, however, made up by the presence of a pair of rather large Phaser Cannons in the roots of the wings on the secondary hull. Though not as powerful as the weapons T'Lari would have been used to during her time on Yeager or her upgraded sister, being nearly thirty years older, the Type-VIII Phaser Cannons were still mostly state-of-the-art, and were vastly more powerful than phaser arrays.
With the Yeager's dorsal phaser arrays also both managing to track the Os'rusa in their firing arcs, the forward firepower of the Yeager coalesced as four beams of coherent light striking a single area on the Os'rusa's shields. The Cardassian ship staggered like a sportsperson being body-checked by a rival, shields flaring as a visible hemisphere of light before collapsing. Secondary explosions rippled down the Os'rusa's flanks as the beams pierced the hull, and running lights flickered and died as the stricken ship began to drift away.

The Os'rusa of the 2370s was a late-model Galor-class Destroyer/Cruiser. The Os'rusa of the 2400s had been modified/upgraded into a Keldon-class Battlecruiser. Key differences included powerplant, offensive and defensive systems, and troop complement. Given the Yeager's own drawbacks, the odds were the same as the last time the two ships had faced each other - skill and daring rather than brute force would be key to success.
