Breathing a small sigh of relief at the Captain moving things along, Gath helped himself to the feast. He didn't mind trying new things, so he took some small portions of what looked worth a bite or two. Unlike most Klingons, he had no desire for his food to still be moving when he ate it. He had done it in survival training, but he didn't like it. He never understood the fascination some people had with such foods.
Gath was enjoying his selections as the Captain turned the conversation to the mission. He was pleasantly delighted when he took a bite of the potatoes and gravy. The gravy had been made with some kind of hot pepper and it had a nice heat to it that made his mouth water. He would have to get the recipe, as it was most satisfying indeed. That was when C'Had surprised Gath by giving a very professional understanding of the situation they were heading toward. It was good to see that the business side of the Trill's brain was able to find the right gear when it needed to.
The turn of events made Gath relax a little, but only a little. If C'Had could stay on task, then things would be likely to go much better. There were no guarantees, but one could always hope.
