Talion listened to Velaul as she ran through her efforts to find acceptable compromises for the situation. When she mentioned a Vulcan choice, his interest perked a bit. It was a good suggestion, though he had certainly known more than his share of Vulcans who were quite capable of their own hidden agendas. However, Alex was a good poker player and had no difficulty keeping those thoughts to himself.
The ideas would move things forward though. Get our people back and give them the person they wanted. The diplomatic shuffle would be out of their hands in any case. The equipment from the shuttle was not going to be catastrophic and could be part of the negotiations with a new ambassador when they tried moving forward in that area.
