Jez was a little surprised when Commander Velaul said, "After this is all over, dinner in my quarters, there are a few things I would like to talk to you about." Jez didn’t know what to make of that. Yes, during the away mission, she was a bit more vocal in her thoughts and opinions, but she stood by her ideas, especially the idea of requesting a full Betazoid Ambassador and staff, as it would make things much easier for President Khushku and her people, as it was next to impossible to lie to a telepath. The more Jez thought about it, the more she was convinced that maybe she didn’t express her idea clearly enough,
Jez’s idea was simple, have a known Telepath, especially a Betazoid assigned as an Ambassador, have a Full Betazoid Embassy staff, that way they could read the minds of those other factions that way the Ambassador would know the true intentions of the other faction, were these factions in line with President Khushku or not and work accordingly, it was like having an ace up your sleeve.
Forget it, Jez, that ship has sailed. The senior officers made up their minds.
What annoyed Jez the most was that she had suggested beaming President Khushku up to the Aquila a while ago and meet with the Captain, but they seemed to reject the idea outright.
Suddenly, Beno added. "Don't worry, it's a good thing." Beno then added. "I have a briefing on the Bridge to attend to. For now, I suggest changing back into uniform."
Jez was slightly startled, “Yes, Commander, right away. I just have to check on my baby real quick.” Said Jez.
