Brennan was working on studying up on the weapons systems for the Zephyr when the alert went off signaling a change in ship status. He left the phaser control systems and proceeded to the turbolift without delay. Once arriving, he climbed inside and nodded to a couple of other crewmen proceeding to their destinations.
"Bridge," he said simply as the others nodded back in approval, acknowledging they were along the same path. It took just a few moments to arrive before the doors opened, and Brennan reported onto the bridge in a tactical situation.
He proceeded over to his commanding officer, Lieutenant Powl, and checked in when he had an opportunity.
"Good day, Lieutenant, how can I be of help?" He stood there expectantly as he looked up and saw on the view screen the object that had created such an attention grab. He muttered under his breath, "What the..." His mind shifted quickly from confusion to concern as he could feel the tension rising on deck.
