The holding pen was easiest to get to, not being too far from the entrance to the facility. It was going to be the hardest location to forget. The Klingons had left the Cardassians and Vorta in there with little in the way of anything that could be called an amenity - beds and other furniture was conspicuous by their absence, and toilet facilities were absent by what could be noticed everywhere else.. Lighting was difficult to come by, only partially working in the giant, unpartitioned room. There were a good number of bodies more than could be accounted for by the weakened lifesigns, as well. As the Starfleet team entered, three people huddled closer together against one wall, a few others scattered elsewhere in the room flinching at their entrance. One of them, a Vorta, spoke hoarsely, "Please, don't hurt us."
The team going to the other location was spared such sights. The facility once had been antiseptic and maybe even sterile, though it was still in decent shape. It was filled with machinery, ranging from small desktop items to tubes large enough to hold a person. None of them appeared to be working, and most had panels opened and components carefully removed. There were other tools and components strewn about, as well, that didn't seem to match the ones that the lab equipment needed, and were being handled much less gingerly as a result. Two large doors led from the main room - one to a command/control post, and the other locked, but it appeared to be to some kind of refrigeration unit.
