==Shuttlebay==
Lieutenant Ra'an watched Keir seriously as s/he gave out the orders, "We are all assigned to this delicate and possibly dangerous Away team mission. So gather your gear and meet in 15 minutes in the main Shuttle bay. I will expect Midshipman Brennan to be there as soon as you can to ready the shuttle. The rest of us along with our pilot should be in in full EVA gear ready to enter a possibly dangerous environment on the alien ship -- let's hustle."
The science officers stopped at the lab and gathered their gear before meeting the others in the shuttle bay. As they were preparing their EV suits, Ra'an took a moment while the rest of the team was distracted to talk to her junior officer. She knew she was responsible for him, and while his enthusiasm was refreshing on the Bridge, it worried her when it came to a potentially dangerous away mission, especially since she knew it was so early into his first assignment.
Ra'an turned to the very green, but eager science officer next to her and sided up to him. "Midshipman Cortez, I take it this is your first away mission?" Ra'an asked. She spoke gently, only to him. "Pay attention to what Commander Keir said. This is potentially dangerous, eyes open and tread cautiously. And um... you probably know this, but I've seen some colleagues hurt before. Be extra cautious before touching anything. It's good to remind ourselves. Scientists. We're a curious bunch."
She gave him an encouraging smile. "Ready for this?"
