There were times when Keir felt that the seemingly never-ending arrival of new Midshipman would ever cease. It was not because s/he did not want to welcome new crew, but it did seem that the Academy was pleased by how the Zephyr team had been handling and training the new arrivals and chose to accept it as a recognition of just how well the team had been doing with regard to training and integrating their new team members.

Keir sent a message to the CO who was in a meeting to inform him of the arrival of the newest member of the Security team and then turned to address the COS. "Lieutenant Gath I am pleased to inform you that the Captain and I will be greeting a new Security Midshipman. Once we have done so I will introduce her to you."

Tapping her comm badge s/he spoke clearly.

"Greetings Midshipman Baldwin, welcome to the Zephyr.

I am the First Officer Commander Keir77 and I am welcoming you to proceed to the bridge along with your transfer orders to be greeted by myself and the Captain and be formally welcomed to the crew.

Once you arrive, simply watch for an appropriate moment to present yourself to the Captain and I and hand me your transfer orders. After we complete your greetings I will introduce you to your Department Head Lt Gath; Keir77 out."
