== Shuttlebay - Shuttle Aura ==
A’kilees sat beside the mobile tractor beam generator that had managed to drag aboard and stored away from the other members of the away team so as to not impede anyone else aboard. Earlier he had the idea that if by chance the Zephyr’s tractor beam wasn’t able to remove smaller objects safely that the mobile unit would be able to work as an alternative. Hopefully his last minute preparation would come in handy in some way.
His previous anxieties had lessened a bit after his previous impromptu meditation in the turbolift on his way down to the shuttlebay but being inside the Aura was helping him relax a bit more. The Aura was a Type 14 shuttlecraft, the newest operational model in Starfleet. Excellent vessels, top of the line even, and much newer than even the Zephyr itself. A’kilees had flown a Type 14 back at the Academy and had been lucky enough to help maintain and perform some minor repairs from time to time when needed. Unfortunately, since coming aboard he had been busy with transporter calibrations and wall console repairs to work on any of the shuttles but hopefully he could work on it after the mission was completed.
Looking around the shuttle he viewed the various members of the away team. Lieutenants Gath and Ra’an were of course the most notable members of the team, getting things prepared before departure, but his large dark eyes were drawn to Midshipman Cortez who was looking a little anxious as well. Perhaps some pre-mission uneasiness? A’kilees thought. While the saurian was glad that he wasn’t alone in having these feelings, he thought it would be a good opportunity to help and show support to his fellow crewmen especially given the severity of the mission.
There was a slight lift of the shuttle and A’kilees could feel the Aura slowly take off from the shuttlebay and slowly accelerate its way out into the vastness of space. A’kilees leaned forward slightly in his seat and was able to peer past the imposing Klingon figure of Lieutenant Gath who was directing the pilot and through the front window to see the looming hull of the derelict ship and the surrounding debris, which was getting closer by the moment. A’kilees quickly took out his PADD and thoroughly reviewed his previous presentation to double check the schematic for the primary entry point and all areas needed to be cut away with the phasers. The team would need to closely follow the schematic as to not compomise the slowly failing internal systems while remaining safe and A'kilees wanted to ensure that would be the case.
