As the Artemis, her crew returned, prepared to depart the God-forsaken system deep inside the nebula, the question remained of what to do with the Klingons still on the bird of prey.
The debate didn't last long, however. As Artemis approached it, the Klingons fired a spread of torpedoes. Poorly aimed from their nearly disabled ship, only one managed to strike Artemis' shields, doing minimal damage. However, it provoked a swift response, as a pair of torpedoes answered and shattered the older Klingon vessel into an expanding cloud of debris.
And so, three days after leaving Deep Space Nine, the Artemis concluded her sensor test and headed home.
