Sebastian watched as Midshipman A'kilees began cutting, the ship's hull was obliterated, and a rush of pressurized atmosphere rushed out, causing Sebastian to get a mental jolt, as he wasn’t expecting it. It truly surprised him, because he expected the hull to be stronger and more durable. It was truly baffling as to Sebastian, A'kilees barely touched it.
The idea of a ship made basically of tissue paper was a bit ridiculous. What had these people been thinking? But judging by the age of the ship, these people were rather brilliant. A hull made of lead alloy offered exceptional protection from interstellar radiation, very clever for a species that didn’t have shield technology.
Sebastian felt his anxiety rising; he wasn’t sure if it was from being in the EVA Suit or the mystery of this ships and these aliens. His mind was racing with questions. Who are these people? What is their mission, and did the Zephyr have any right to interfere with their mission? Maybe these people were on a Scientific mission for their people, and the crew of the Zephyr was interfering with that mission. The ship could be a prison barge and the crew could be releasing murderers, robbers, and other undesirables back into the Galaxy.
Sebastian felt his heart starting to race, and a knot formed in his stomach; his palms were sweating
Relax, everything is fine; nothing is closing in. Relax, relax.
Sebastian took several deep breaths in an attempt to calm down. He felt himself relaxing a little.
That’s it, you got this, relax. You got this, breathe, breathe.
Sebastian tapped his combadge and said to Ra’an [ What if these people we are attempting to rescue are dangerous? What if they are prisoners? Should we be attempting to rescue potential murderers, robbers and rapists? We should try to access the ship's computer and find out who exactly these people are.
Sebastian knew it was dangerous opening these stasis pods without knowing who and what these people were, what if these aliens had some kind of special physical abilities that the Zephyr crew couldn’t defend against? Some kind of super strength, or telepathic abilities that they could take control of the crew and turn them into puppets. Sebastian couldn’t shake remembering reading about the then Captain Kirk rescuing Khan Noonien Singh and his genetically modified followers; was history about to repeat itself?
Relax, Sebastian, relax, you’re letting your imagination run away with you/ Relax and breathe.
Sebastian didn’t know what to expect. His mind was racing; he was trying his best to beat back his claustrophobia, as he didn’t want to look foolish in front of his crewmates. Sebastian looked at the others; he felt envious that none of them had such an irrational fear as claustrophobia. Sebastian knew he had to fight to conquer his fear.
