Despite them no longer being together, Aeryn hoped that her ex wouldn't shy away from the gathering, after all, she did want them to remain friends.
There was no point in dwelling on that, as she chose to greet Hally warmly. " It's good to see you too, and please help yourself to the food and drinks, in fact, I think I'll be grabbing some soon".
She might be the host, but she also had to eat, especially since she hadn't been able to face much at breakfast, but now it was a different story.
