Bailey frowned as she examined the results of her her scans. It was detecting, something. But she wasn't too sure.
“You get anything?” Asked the Chief.
“One moment.” She replied taking a couple of steps nearer. There was residual DNA on the hatch. That much was certain, but it was severely degraded. Those couple of extra steps neared allowed her to see the gouges on the surface just past where Wight was obscuring her complete view.
“I've definitely got Trill DNA signatures on the hatch surface, and nowhere else.” She said after a few more moments.”But it's badly degraded. It barely registers.”
She looked between both officers. If only she'd had the opportunity to take the forensics course when it had been offered during their last stopover.
Tapping in a few more instructions she tried to get the scanner to penetrate the hatch further in the hope it would detect any lifeforms beyond the hatch other than just cursory surface scans.
