Finally, she allowed herself to just spit it out. “Is anyone against going in there after him?” She waited a beat. “I’d like to physically follow his trail, if we can.” Nodding in the proper direction, “Another one of us will stand watch here, the other will go to talk to the people in the torpedo bay and see what’s going on in here.”
There was a beat, where presumably they all decided if it was them or another who should volunteer to crawl in and get eyes on the situation. “Chief,” the Midshipman said softly, “if you need someone to go in… I can.” Art nodded her approval. “If he’s using the accesways to move, I’m willing to follow. I’ll keep comms open and back out the second you call it.”
“Sounds like a plan.” She replied- the go-ahead for Wright to go.
Another curt nod, this one to Bailey. “You keep watch. You’re good at observing – keep doing that.”
Finally, she walked over to the people that currently occupied the same relative space her little group did. “What happened here.” She asked, her inflection at the end of the sentence making it slightly more of a command than a question.
