== Interior - The Broken Arrow ==
The inner bulkhead is significantly thinner than the outer hull. With a final, decisive flex of the hull plating, the metal shears, opening a jagged aperture about 1.5 meters wide. As Gath pushes through the breach, his helmet lights cut through the darkness of a hundred millennia. He floats into a vast, cavernous cargo hold.
As for the atmosphere, it was zero gravity. Absolute silence. The air is filled with crystalline dust motes—frozen atmosphere that glitters in your beam like diamonds.
There were hazards; hundreds of small objects—tools, loose securing straps, and personal effects—are floating freely in the bay. You have to gently push them aside to move; sudden movements could send sharp debris ricocheting around the room.
The mission goal was the Cryo-Pods. In the center of the bay, bolted to the deck plates, are the twelve pods arranged in a circle, facing inward. Through the frosted glass, you see them. They are tall, broad-shouldered humanoids. They are dressed not in civilian clothes, but in heavy, unified jumpsuits that look utilitarian—perhaps military, perhaps industrial hazardous environment gear. This might fuel Cortez's theories, or it might just mean they were prepared for a rough landing.
Three of the pods are strobing with a dull, dying red light. The bio-readouts on these pods are fading. Time remaining: 6 minutes.
The Aura has extended the power umbilical. Midshipman Brennan has fed the heavy cable through the breach Gath created.
Midshipman Cortez could see the power junction box at the base of the central pod cluster. It is sparking intermittently. He may have to manually strip the Aura's cable and clamp it directly to the alien bus bars. It’s a "hotwire" job.
The interior is clear enough for the pattern enhancers. Once power is restored to the critical pods, A'kilees and Ra'an could try to bring the emitters through the hole and set up the containment field for transport.
