== Entering the alien ship ==
Gath had seen this sort of thing before, but the feeling of age and accumulated dust was more than he had ever encountered. It almost felt like a tomb, but all the occupants appeared to still be alive, at least for the moment.
He reported, [I'm inside.] this was quickly followed by, [The area appears clear. Be careful when you enter, there are loose objects that could become dangerous if disturbed.]
Gath then returned to the hole to assist in others entering, then he would help to feed the power cable through to reduce a chance of damage to it.
He also reported, mostly for the benefit of the Bridge crew, [I'm not seeing damage to the pods. The junction in the center appears to have some sort of damage or malfunction, but Engineering and Science should be able to handle it.]
Gath glanced around to see if there were consoles or what might be some kind of cockpit or control center for them to consider accessing the data of the ship. He was presuming it might be easier to just remove the data module and inspect it back in the safer confines of their own ship's labs. For now though, it was one step at a time.
