Sebastian could feel his anxiety building; his claustrophobia was starting to get to him, he could feel his heart starting to race, and he felt his palms starting to sweat. The EVA Suit felt even more confining.
Relax, Sebastian, breathe, you are safe, the EVA Suit is comfortable, and you are relaxed, you are relaxed. Breathe, breathe. You have a mission, don't let the team down.
Sebastian regained his composure when his comm system activated. "Midshipman Cortez," Ameen's voice came over the comms, firm but measured. "Your caution is noted, but Starfleet does not triage patients based on criminal history. We save the lives first; we ask the difficult questions later. We will revisit this concern in the debrief. For now, let's stay focused on the mission."
Ra’an’s comment took Sebastian aback. He was saying that they should be on the side of caution. Find out who these people are and what they were doing. For all they knew, these people could be high Security Criminals, they could be colonists, they could be carrying an illness that there is no cure for. The logical way this mission should have gone would access the ships computer and rescue the people, Truth be told they should have accessed the ships computer first and then based on what they find, then decide if they should revive the people in the stasis pods, if the information stated that they people were safe to revive then fine, if not, they could repair the stasis pods and let the ship continue on their way. Sebastian couldn’t help shake the feeling that what they were doing was a mistake, but it could be his claustrophobia interfering with his judgement.
Sebastian then remembered Lt. Ra’an;s order You're with Dr. O'Fee, see if you can help get her power where she needs it. Call me on comms if you have questions. Sebastian kept repeating his orders to himself.
Sebastian gathered the equipment he needed. He quickly caught up to Dr. O’Fee. He could see the power junction box at the base of the central pod cluster. It is sparking intermittently. He may have to manually strip the Aura's cable and clamp it directly to the alien bus bars. It’s a "hotwire" job. Sebastian was confident that he could repair the damage. He took out his tricorder and began scanning the area to see if there was a place he could shut the power off or at least reroute it in order to safely repair the power.
[ Doctor, I should have the power to those pods repaired shortly. ] His voice was clearly affected by his claustrophobia
Sebastian hoped this wouldn’t be too daunting a task, but he was prepared for anything.
