Gath heard the words of the Captain and turned to look where he had been directed and saw the data module. As he moved over toward it, he saw what was going on with the power connection. He could also see that Cortez was having a moment of personal struggle. Part of him wanted to step in and help, but his mind quickly assessed the situation and he realized that to much precious time would be lost if he tried to do that. One way or another this was going to need to be up to Cortez to make it happen.
He looked over the system and decided that the data module could likely be removed without altering the rest of the system, but until Cortez restored power, it might be best if he waited and didn't distract the midshipman at such a critical time. It was while he was looking this over that he asked the Engineer, [Mister A'kilees, it appears that the pods are all functioning from their central connection to this single pillar. Once we restore power to all of the units, You need to verify that we can safely disconnect the pods from the ship for transport. If they require being connected to the central system for both power and maintaining system integrity, this could turn into a much more complicated process. Please verify if we will be able to remove these units independently for relocation to the Zephyr.]
Gath deactivated his magnetic boots, pushed off lightly and then floated up to where the data module was located. It was a common variation where you lifted a handle that went across the unit, which cammed it up out of position for easy removal. He didn't remove it right away, instead, opting to wait and let Cortez focus on his more important task for the next couple of minutes.

== OOC: I posted what I did because we're currently planning on beaming the pods out, but if they're getting their power from the central connection and the computer controlling their life support is also through that central location, then we can't beam them out. We would also need to unbolt them from the deck, even if we find a way to beam them out still functioning. Gath can't determine this level of detail easily on his own. He might be able to do it, but it would take him longer and this is why Engineering is here. There might be a transfer mode or some other means by which we can keep them running while we relocate them, but if so, why are the three failing? We might need to rig a mobile power source, like a power cell and something to keep the systems running at current levels. ==
