To say he wandered in would be an understatement. Tes walked in like he was pulled by a string, leaning forward a little like if you were to pull that string upwards, his vertebrae would line right back up. His right antenna twitched slightly, soon followed by his left. Everything about the tall lanky man was twitchy, from the way his head was on a tight swivel, staring at the other cadets there, which he saw as much more competent than he, to the way his long legs moved on the floor towards the desk. It would be a fair assumption that the anxious Andorian had drank a couple Raktajinos before arriving.
He smoothed back his already-slicked back white hair, sliding his light blue hand between his antennae. His hands were the only part of his body that were still and steady.
Nevertheless, he made his way over to the desk, still glancing at the other cadets. Humans, Vulcans, Bolians, other Andorians, they all looked so confident in what they were doing. It made Tes a little uneasy. He felt somewhat embarrassed, insignificant, like a major third chord, which he was still finding a way to work into his newest piece. He found his mind wandering back to the voice leading he had chosen for it, but mentally smacked himself and focused again on the desk ahead.
Once at the desk, he straightened himself, perhaps overcompensating and turning his spine into a “C”. Nervously, he corrected it and went fully vertical again. Even his antennae straightened. His lips twisted into a small smile.
“C-Cadet Tes Th’etellis reporting for Assignment, Sir.”
He then mentally scolded himself for making a fool of himself in front of a Starfleet officer.
Wow Tes, he thought, what a first impression!
